Nexus 5

My Nexus 5 bought from Google Play Store. It failed twice so far (bought Nov. 2013, replaced Oct. 2014, now failed May, 2015). It does not last more than one year. Is this normal? Here is the page to list how to fix.

How can I get to Recovery Mode?

Press Volume UP and Down buttons at the same time and press Power button. You will go to a menu with items which you can select by using Volume UP and Down button. You will find Recovery Mode. Using Power Button to select it. You will see an image of an Android robot with "No command."  Holding Power button  and Volume Up once.  You will go into more menu items:  

  • reboot system now
  • apply update from ADB
  • wipe data/factory reset
  • wipe cache partition
  • reboot to bootloader
  • power down
  • view recovery logs
The problem I had was that my device never get out from the initial rotating dots mode.  Google tech support told me to wipe cache partition.   It did not work.  Next he suggested wipe data/factory reset.   Here is more details:https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/4596836?hl=en

How can I see Nexus 5 in Windows 8?
