How can I resolve VEEAM "VIX Error: You do not have access rights to this file Code:13"?

In order to back up VMs, we installed the VEEAM Backup. The problem is that when creating a backup job, I get"VIX Error: You do not have access rights to this file Code:13". I found the solution link:https://www.veeam.com/kb1788. This is due to the backup job is assumed to be created by local host Administrator account. If you are using any other user to access a VM, then it is a pain.

How can I override the smartcard login?

I needed to install VeeamONE for backup on our system. It needed service account credential, but the system is set to use the smart card. Thus I needed to override. It turned out that just the registry setting inHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\scforceoption. See http://www.thewindowsclub.com/windows-smart-card-logon-troubleshooting.

What to do after powering up VDP appliance?

I have alert set up for VDP. I powered down VDP for one month and bring it up today.I got the message saying "Start the Maintenance services by using the vSphere Data Protection Configuration utility."What this means is that you have to run "vdp-configure" (again) after powering up (https://(vdphost):8543/vdp-configure/). By bringing this page, it will start five services, e.g. Core, Management, Maintenance, Backup Schedule, and Replication.
